National Child Protection Week: Every Child Leaves Signals.

This year's NAPCAN National Child Protection Week theme, 'Every Conversation Matters, Shifting Conversation to Action,' invites us to turn conversation into action. But not every conversation is spoken. Children communicate through behaviour long before they have the words, and those signals are there for anyone paying attention. We believe every one of us has a role to play in noticing them.

What we see, what we hear, what we witness them doing, are all signals. Every day, educators, carers, parents and professionals notice subtle changes in children's behaviour. Individually, these observations may appear insignificant, but together they often reveal patterns that require attention. SAFE exists to connect these observations, providing trusted intelligence that supports earlier intervention before children reach crisis.
